Perforation is punching or perforation of holes (small strokes) along the tear line. It must guarantee a separation along the line.
A notched label is a label with an entire substrate, but with only the top layer being notched. It is applicable when a smooth and accurate tear line is required, or to ensure the manufacturability and functionality of the label.
